Mapping your ISO 9001 project to the Standard

With the recent launch of ISO 9001:2015, over one million businesses worldwide will be looking to transition their existing quality management systems to the latest version.

This is a lot of businesses; a lot of processes will need to be changed, and a lot of management systems.

To ensure you get your ISO 9001:2015 implementation project off on the right foot, it’s important to carefully map your documentation to the official standard. Incomplete, error-filled documentation is often the biggest reason for ISO 9001 non-compliance.

Mapping your ISO 9001 project to the Standard will ensure that you reduce errors and cut down time and money spent on the project. You will need a copy of the official ISO/IEC 9001:2015 standard to begin with, and then go through each requirement, creating and updating your existing documentation to the new standard as you go.

With more than 100 requirements, this can be quite time-consuming, but it ensures that your documentation is complete.

If you’re implementing an ISO 9001:2015 QMS yourself, then a cost-effective option is to use pre-written templates for your documentation.

The ISO 9001 2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Documentation Toolkit contains pre-written and fully customisable templates, developed and drafted by ISO 9001 experts, to help you implement a QMS aligned to ISO 9001:2015. Proven to save you months, this toolkit will save you time and money as you implement the world’s leading QMS.
